The Turrell Fund is proud to highlight one of the 2024 Landon Award winners: ONE Arts Center!
What is ONE Arts Center?
ONE Arts (ONE Arts) Center is an arts-based organization committed to providing arts education to children of all ages.
ONE Arts’ mission is to build and strengthen the creative community of VT artists by offering high quality art education to children and families at three sites across Chittenden County.
ONE Arts also collaborates with other organizations, such as Burlington Forest Preschool, Howard Center, and Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity.
ONE Arts Center’s Work
ONE Arts children-focused programs include early learning centers, all ages art education, and all abilities inclusive play workshops.
Children are encouraged to express themselves through projects that demonstrate creative thinking skills.
The Arts Center offers daily afterschool programs and creative camps, while the early learning locations serve children 0-5 and their families.
ONE Arts also facilitates Family Create Together Weekend Workshops to promote creative exploration for children and their parents together.
How ONE Arts Center Supports Families
ONE Arts develops accessible spaces for children and families to be part of a creative community. As people come together, opportunities arise to allow them to get to know one another.
ONE Arts curriculum serves children and families of different backgrounds, offering a chance for them to grow together through a creative lens.
Other programs include a middle school art program, an All Abilities Art Workshop led by a speech and art therapist, and weekend classes.
The Turrell Fund congratulates ONE Arts and supports its mission of fostering a welcoming community for children and families through the arts. Thank you for all you do!
