NJ Monthly, a physical and digital newspaper, published an article written by Steve Adubato of Caucus Educational Corporation about the Turrell-funded HealthySteps clinics at Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH).
The article includes the following quote from Evan Delgado, Executive Vice President of the Turrell Fund: “All families deserve access to high-quality services… right from the time of birth, and they deserve to be given individualized, one-on-one support.”
HealthySteps is an evidence-based pediatric primary care program of ZERO TO THREE which is being piloted at three HMH pediatric primary care practices in New Jersey.
Specifically, the program integrates a child-development professional, called a HealthySteps specialist, into the pediatric primary care team. This specialist connects families with additional services and community resources according to the needs and comfort of the families.
The three HealthySteps pediatric clinics piloting HealthySteps are the Pediatric Academic Practice/Pediatric Continuity Program in Hackensack, the Jane H. Booker Family Healthy Center in Neptune, and the Medical Arts Building Pediatrics Practice, also in Neptune.
The Turrell Fund supports the HealthySteps pilot sites in New Jersey with the Burke Foundation and The Nicholson Foundation.
